Saint Lucians will be introduced to a new era in wholesale shopping with the public
opening of Mega J come Monday, November 17. Mega J is the newest addition to the
Consolidated Foods Limited portfolio of services and is located at the Choc/Union
Roundabout. Mega J (a bigger version of Big J’s Wholesale Club) will feature 50,000
square feet of shopping space.

FIRST EVER YOPLAIT WALK FOR CANCER THIS SUNDAY
The first ever Yoplait Walk for Cancer to be held in Saint Lucia will take place this
Sunday, November 2. The walk is organized by the Saint Lucia Cancer Society and
Reach to recovery (a Breast Cancer Support Group) and sponsored by Super J
Supermarkets. The walk is part of two major activities designed to raise awareness of
breast Cancer and to get the populace to commit to being part of the fight against the
disease.

Chamber of Commerce Commends CFL for “leading by example”
Consolidated Foods Limited (CFL) has committed $10,000 to support the disaster relief
efforts of the Saint Lucia Red Cross, which is responding to the devastation caused by a
series of hurricanes and tropical storms that have ravaged some of Saint Lucia’s sister
islands.

October is Cancer Awareness Month
Two major activities designed to raise awareness of Cancer, and to get the populace to
commit to being part of the breast cancer fight will be launched on Wednesday October
1st at 10am at the offices of Consolidated Foods Limited. Dr. David Bristol, President of
the St. Lucia Cancer Society will be one of the main speakers at the special activity, to
mark the start of the Yoplait Save Lids to Save lives Campaign and the Yoplait Walk for
Cancer.

Super J Recognises Four Pillars of the Education System
Four long-serving members of the Education system were last week recognized and
honoured by the Ministry of Education’s District Six office in Vieux Fort. The four
retired from the teaching service in July of this year. Cajetan Jn Panel (Vieux Fort Infant
School), Raphael Lyn George (Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School), Elena
Baptiste (Desruisseaux Combined School) and Sheila Parsad Adlain (Augier Combined
School) have each given over thirty four years of exemplary service to the profession.
