The National Senior Games scheduled for Easter Monday was given a much needed shot in the arm on Tuesday March 18, 2008 with a $12,000 sponsorship cheque from Super J Supermarkets. The cheque was presented to Mrs. Helen Charles Executive Director of Helpage Saint Lucia (the event organizers).

The Peace and Love Programme initiated by Honorable Richard Frederick, Parliamentary Representative for Castries Central moved to a new level during the month of March, with the introduction of a basketball component to the programme. Given the youth and sports development focus of Super J Supermarkets, the company agreed to be the overall sponsor of the first basketball competition of this project.

The Ciceron Children's home has been equipped with state of the art solar water heating systems thanks to the generous contribution of Consolidated Foods Limited, the US Ambassador to the Eastern Caribbean, Windjammer Landing and Ecosun Ltd. The four (4) solar water heaters valued at just over $17,000 have been described as "a very timely and much needed gift which will bring a large measure of comfort to the children of the home".

this week that its suppliers Loblaws, the brands' owners have halted the
